we are having this problem w/our "05" IC buses while driving down the road at 55 mph. the doors shut so violently that you think that the door glass is going to break or come out of the door. lost an umbrella today, was sucked out when the wind blew them open, (wind gusts were expected to 51 mph, actual unknown at this time). anyone else having this concern?

Welcome to the forum FORDSAREUS. Open and closing speeds can be adjusted on the door engine and a buffer adjustment should ease the slamming of the door before it completely closes.

So you're saying you shut the door and drive at freeway speeds, and the wind causes the door to pull open? And then slam shut?

yes, that is what is happening. close the door, then drive at freeway speeds and the wind causes the door to pull open and then slam shut. (not all of the "05"s are doing this, and only on very windy days).

The forward door leaf should close after the rear leaf. If the front door leaf closes ahead of the rear leaf the rear leaf will be exsposed to air pushing it open.

Check that all linkages are tight and you have adequate air pressure to the door engine.
