I've got a 2008 IC with the I-6 motor that intermittently has no throttle/acceleration while on route, seems to happen after decelerating for corner or stopping. if driver shuts bus off and restarts will normally work fine for awhile then will act up again. only problem is won't do anything at shop or on test drive! bus drives and accelerates excellent here. I found inactive code for IVS stored in ECM so went thru pin-point diag, ck'd all connectors and wiring for APS/IVS sensors to ECM, also ck'd main cables and ecm wiring from batts everything looks good and checks within range. Just wondering if anyone else had similar prob? I am leaning toward the throttle pedal sensor (APS) being the culprit but hate just replacing parts when i can't find a obvious cause. any input would be greatly appeciated

Don't happen to have a twin bus or other bus that uses the same pedal do you? I'd try swapping the pedal and see if the condition goes with it. Just my 1.245 cents.

Had an 04 4300 truck doing all sorts of wierd things like reving up on it's own and such (not CAP) and never could I or the dealer find anything wrong.

Evntually they told me that they had a new 'overlay harness' to remove the pedal from the rest of the truck's wiring **must have been made just for me since I was the only one having that problem*. Had them install it and never had a problem again. Wonder if the CE has such a harness available.

I'll probably end up trying the swap technic as soon as i can get my hands on sister bus, as mine are scattered all over 7 districts til the end of school yr and only come back here for PM's or breakdowns. if i can get 2 here of the same/simalar yr at the same time. although that still fall's in the category of I hate swapping or replacing parts with out having a definite reason :)
