hello we have an 05 international with a vt365. when the bus and oil is cold and thick it starts pretty quickly. once it runs for a while and throttle about 50% for about a min or so and let off it stalls and cannot get it running again. the injection pressure can only reach 230-300psi no higher. we replaced the high pressure oil pump, and icp regulator still no difference. is it possible there is a leak somewhere, when the oil is thinner it bleeds out of the rails? i had taken off the right side valve cover and had someone crank the motor and there were drips of oil coming from behind the oil rail above the injectors? is this normal? in my opinion i didnt think there would be any or extremely little. If we ether the motor at crank it will build up pressure sometimes and start as long as you hold the throttle to about 2000 rpm. if anyone else has an idea or suggestion please let me know, the bus and I are becoming annoyed with eachother, im sure everyones been there at least once.
How would you pressure test the system? I know you can set a guage on the rail but do not have the tool. The base pressure is 20psi at crank, and when running between 80-90psi.
