Inherited 3 Cummins ISB (2000) in FS-65 71 passenger buses.
Heard about the lift pump issues an decided to do something before one smoked an injection pump.
Bought low pressure warning kits from Cummins.
Kinda like this:

I like a big annoying red light that comes in the kit rather than the green, as shown in the link.

I seem to remember seeing some warranty information in the file for my bus when I bought it used (02 AA RE, 5.9L). It said something about a warranty recall or something of that nature about adding something to detect low fuel pressure for this very issue, and a ten year warranty for it. I don't have it in front of me at the momement, but it was warranty work that was done when it was fairly new.
Funny thing is that it has a reman vp-44 on it, but I have no record of it being replaced in my file, so it either had the pump replaced and the service record lost, or it failed and was replaced along with the addition of the failsafe device. I'm scared for the day to come when the pump fails...might just have to p-pump it!

I don't have any extra lights on the dash, so I always figured that it was wired to the stop engine light on the dash or something like that. Does that sound right? It has the VDO gauges.

We can't all be conventional!

matts4290 ... look on the front of the valve cover or on the timing cover and see if there is a sticker that saya Campaign 0504 (?) They put those stickers on after the campaign is performed. I think the 0504 is the campaign is for the lift pump, but there's a good chance the vp44 was done at the same time. Timm .....

That's why I put in the light kit.
They keep running till the injection pump fails.
No CEL. No codes
