Just took delivery of 14 IC CEs. 2 of these units are having the same exact issues. On both of these buses the radio and dome lights do not function. Since Im with the federal gov't..GSA is a PIA, and we are having to wait several weeks to get these buses to the IC dealer for repair.
Initially it was discovered on the first bus the day it was picked up, and it seemed to be a noise cancellation switch issue. When you flip the suppresion switch you can hear the radio come on for a split second but the radio shuts right back off. When you flip the cancellation switch off the radio turns back on for a bit but no sound comes out and the PA system is also unresponsive. I swapped the switch from another bus that is functioning properly..and the issue remained.
As for the dome lights, they operate properly when the entrance door is opened..however the driver dome, left dome, and right dome switches are unreponsive.
Anyone else seen these issues? I would like to have these buses put in service. The buses being replaced were turned in 1 for 1 and have already been prepped for auction. Im hurting here..and the dealer is the ONLY one that can work on these vehicles for us. Unfortunately they are severely backed up. Both units have less than 1300 miles on them. |

| I will have to wait till Monday to get the VIN for ya. I gave the VIN to a sister bus to the dealer on thursday and it wasnt in the system yet, or so they said. That bus gives you a shower when it rains..and it has 1100 miles on it. I am NOT pleased with this batch of CE's. If only I could be dealing with C2's again..I miss them. |

We took delivery of one with a bad radio/PA system this fall and the dealer replaced it.
Too bad we can't warranty some of these drivers....... oops... did I say that? |
If it doesn't fit, FORCE it.
If it breaks, well, it needed replacing anyway.
