My district has a few contractors which provide mostly field-trips but a few routes as well. Lately, there has been a lot of competition with the contractors. One of our contractors, whom we'll call contractor X, is being sabotoged by other contractors. They have stolen equipment from contractor X, and to top it off, set one of their school buses on fire! Is competition between contractors ever fierce in your district?

Never that bad but a few argurments and all. Always about feild trips. There was one contrator Graves and he was the BIG CHEESE he would be the leader of all the feild trips no I mean no one better try to take the lead. Well when he retired he sold it to Stevenson. Well there alittle competition between him and Glasco's. SOmetimes if glasco got the lead and he has to flow he's not happy at all. But just like he get mad and if she goes to slow he on her butt. I mean that about it. Nothing like setting fire and stealing.

Yes it is.

Our school district used to have two contractors, now we just have one because Monarch Student Transportation bought out both of the contractors, anyway when we had two, BOTH contractors were buddys. They would do favors for each other and stuff like that.

Adding to that these people are buddies they help each other out and get along. THey all get along and are nice to each other. But some just like to have the lead. Really only one cares. The one with the 1988 Thomas ER because that used to be the big feild trip bus but my opinion it time to get a new one.

No Silas, that isn't the bus that is burned. That bus was was in Minnesota, we're in Miami.

I don't know what type of bus was burned, but I do know that it belonged to the Franmar Corporation, one of our contractors.

By the way, our contractors are only contracted for field trips. Our district's transportation cannot cover many field-trips because they would intefere with routes. So, they contract private companies like Franmar to do the field trips.

If it's big and yellow, then it's a school bus!
