What is your district's after hours/activity bus run(s) like? Our district has one high/middle school and one elementary activity run at 3:30 and 4:00 respectively. The routes are blended together for conveniance. Also activity buses are used during finals, since more buses are needed. However, during finals our district does not offer an extra inbound run. Do any districts provide later bus runs, earlier bus runs or weekend runs?
Here as I say there are certian people that do things since they own there own bus. The companies with Transit buses and more than one bus does the feild trips. So they get to do Feild Trips sport runs and band. Our band goes places almost every saturday from September to November and then December when ever there is a parade. The people who get to do this work out a price per mile and all..plus the district has a set fee that you have to pay or something for like driver and you have to pay them to sit and wait for you too. So these trips get good money!
During finals for middle and high school our district did not offer inbound runs for afternoon finals-only outbound buses for the morning runs. Should there be some kind of requirement for this?
In my District the activity trip are bid on by any route driver with the district for more than 30 days. Special noon routes are based on seniority plus dependability. Dependability has it own rewards.
Our district has an activity route for middle/high school at 3:15 which you need a bus pass for, and an elementary activity run at 4:00. Drivers can do one or the other. A neighboring district of ours also has another extra high school activity run at either 5 or 5:30
Our high school has to activity runs. Both buses leave at 5:30 and have special stops through-out the community. The middle school students can also use these buses.
"This post is deducated to my OLD bus #39. A 1997 GMC Blue Bird. New bus: 2001 Blue Bird All American FE #215."
Are school has activity runs, which are like field trips, and then we have metros that run on a time schedule every night. Each metro go's to a certain area of town and the bus will make drops to the closes corner for that student. The elementary metros will deliver to their homes
Here in Canandaigua we have After School buses Monday through Thursday. Four buses start at the Highschool at 3:40 and end up at the Elementary at 4:00 and transport the children home then. We also have Reading and Math Club runs for Elementary students only that pick up at 4:15. During certain parts of the year there is also a Late Bus that picks up at the Highschool at 5:30 and 6:00 at the Elementary as some of our teams practice on the Elem. fields.
Our Field trips and sports trips are awarded on a seniority basis. The number of trips you've already taken are also taken into account. We can only take off of our Regular routes 10 times per semester as well.
