2009 Freightliner/Thomas SAF-T-Liner C2 4UZABRDJ39CZ71443 All four brake lights at the rear of the bus are staying on. With DDDL software,I see them being commanded on. If I unplug the brake light switch, which is part of an air module on the AMU, the lights do not go out.
I have access to the Thomas Bus SI website and have wiring info from the brake lights to the Switch Hub Module (SHM). That is where Thomas stops and Freightliner starts. The input from the switch is supposedly transmitted to the SHM via datalink.
From the switch, it supposedly goes to one of two Chassis Modules. I g The inputs to the CHM do not match up. I called FCCC and they looked in CHEC and told me this has “floating pins” and they could only identify one of them.
Does anybody have access to this wiring info? I assume (I know) that a multiplex signal is what arrives at the SHM, but where does it come from? Does it go thru more than one module?
Only active code is Engine Compression Brake Output #2, current below normal.
