Have a BB All American RE with ISL cummins engine. We have 3 of this year and all of them have either heater hoses in cab that will rupture or the heater cores develop leaks, cummins TSB says to put a barrel thermostat in. Have tried that, didnt make a difference. Anyone have this issue and what did you do to resolve it?
Is it too much pressure in system cant be heat or you would have CEL for engine , have you checked for high pressure in the coolant system , try a lower pressure cap , could it be the air compressor injecting the extra pressure ,engine head gasket you would notice is this model a pusher or puller, does it have a booster pump in the coolant system we have BB but with ISB and none had this issue , we can smell coolant but no leaks(figure the smell can come through silicon hoses change them to old school hoses and smell goes away)

I ran into a Blue Bird that had the temperature valve fail in the closed position and create excessive dead head pressure. I've see 100 psi on Birds because they don't bypass when the heater valve is closed. There was a rash of blown heater hoses around 2010 for excessive pressure in the heater system. We had to add guards at the heaters to prevent hot coolant hitting the kids when a rupture happens.
If it's important enough to tell me about, it's important enough to create an issue.
