2021 Blue Bird T3RE, there are two other codes for engine wait to start lamp and fuel level 1. assuming they are due to the dead dash ? Thought I should give a bit more info, 285 is {Multiplexing PGN Timeout Error} checked fuses and pulled relays out to check for clean contact
If you have Insite go to advanced ecm tests there you will find (I forget exactly what its called) you can look up 285 and 286 codes and there you will find the issue listed , a feature or parameter might be wrong or your dash is bad
