we are tring to check fuel pressure on a cat 3126 is there a special adapter to check the the pressure by the hand pump

I think you just pull the plug from the tee right behind the hand pump and install a pipe nipple. If it's not pipe thread it is a regular hydroulic fitting you can get from your parts store to adapt to your hose on your gauge. I apologize for not knowing exactly, it's been a few months since I have had to check fuel pressure on any of mine.

CAT sells the adapter. The tag is missing on mine so I don't have the part#. It was around 6 bux.

thanks we found on at napa it was a 3/8 hydraulic fitting
