I have a 1997 bluebird bus which I recently purchased (yesterday). I am trying to work on it with the keys in the ignition (but the bus not turned on) so I can use lights/radio/etc. However, there is a loud beeping noise that I am unable to figure out how to disable. Is there a way for me to do this? If the engine is turned on the beeping stops. I have tried the door switch, and that is not where it is coming from. Thank you for any help! This is all new and a learning process for me.

Have you tried turning the key to the left (accessory) position? Most buses have the accessory position on the key to energize just the body circuits (lights, radio, etc) with the engine off. Is the bus a conventional (nose-in-front, built on a truck chassis) or flat-nose (built on Blue Bird's own chassis)?
The beeping is probably a brake fluid or oil pressure warning. The sensors are wired to assume if the key is on, the bus is running, and warn you of any problems. You don't want to disable them, if you're going down the road and something goes wrong you need to know. |

On some Units there is a small black box it doesn't look like a buzzer but it does, look under the instrument panel it will just unplug and able to plug back up when u get finished with your work. It's there on the Thomas busses don't know about yours

| Is it low on air-pressure? What do the air-pressure gauges read? It could be the low air-pressure warning, which activates when the air-pressure for your brakes (assuming it has air brakes) drops to 60psi or below. |
