I know I have posted this before (at least I was thinking it pretty hard). What would it take to remove the flood control from this forum? I know this is a popular forum for some of us but I cannot thing there is so much interest that we would have trouble with too many people posting.
I guess what I am trying to say is, I am running a one horse show here and need all the time I can muster. I like to check the forum the first thing in the morning, once about 9-9:30 then at lunch, once about 2:30-3 then before I go home or at home. Sometimes I keep this schedule sometimes not. That being said it would be better if I could respond to posts (sometimes three or four) or make a post of my own and respond to a couple more in less than the 120 seconds that are allowed. As it is now sometimes I just don't respond because I don't have the time to wait. I know two minutes doesn’t seem like much but it can be when you need to get going and I like to participate in the forum when I can.
I think this forum is valuable to those who use it correctly. In fact I have been helped more times than I have helped someone else. That is the reason I can justify taking the time that I do to participate.

| I believe the forum flood control was created due to the spammers we have gotten recently (check the Breaking News board). I completely agree that its a nuisance, and I believe it used to be just 60 seconds. I think they should lower it back to that or make it even lower, because 120 secs. gets quite annoying. |

| What good do spammers do anyway? No one reads that stuff, they just annoy the cr*p out of you. There can't be any money in that can there? |

| Spam advertisements are cheap. The message can reach millions with barely any advertising cost (you can pay one person for an hour of work and get your message on dozens of free forums). If the spam ad generates one profitable sale from all those websites, it's worth it. |

| LOL! but yes that one is all too common! But the flood control can get more annoying than the actual spam, because when I'm at home I have limited internet access time. (Aircards and their limited data:p) |
