6+1 is a 7 Speed Spicer product ES/ESO series transmission
6 Speed is often the Eaton FS/FSO series
O = Overdrive

I may not know the answer but I can usually find who does.

Fuller FS/FSO - Nomenclature definition Page #1
http://www.eaton.com/Roadranger/productssolutions/SpecificationGuide/GeneralInfoMD/index.htm

Spicer ES/ESO Nomenclature definition page #2
http://www.ttcautomotive.com/english/onlineorder/product.asp#General Literature
Select General Literature & then the MD-HD condensed Specs brochure pge #2

I will admit a preference for the Eaton/Fuller. Then again my old neighbor was the product engineer on that product line.

I may not know the answer but I can usually find who does.
