We've got two C2 stepwell heaters on the way out. The motors are on order but in the meantime, does anyone have any tips, hints on how to replace the motor assemblies. I haven't rolled under the bus yet to take a good look at what needs to be removed to fix this, but it doesn't look like it's going to be easy. Any suggestions?

Its really not a bad job since the fuel tank is in the rear. Can't imagine you will have much difficulty unless you got luggage compartments that make things tight.

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback

Just replaced three bad motors. Two I already knew about and another one bit the dust this morning. Much easier than I thought it would be. I thought I'd have to remove the 4 large screws on the inside stepwell and drop down the entire unit, and go at it from the front. Boy was I wrong, three screws to remove the back access panel, (which I never knew was there until today!) and there it was.

81 bucks from TAC for the whole assembly.
It's a 3 speed. Just wire it for 2 on yer C2.
Got a catalog update from Tom White this last week.
They have a surprising amount of well priced stuff.

Another hint to keep the motors lasting longer & to build more consistant heat for the entire bus:
- Wire for only "Low" & "Medium" settings (try to do this for the rear passenger heater too.)

I may not know the answer but I can usually find who does.

Sounds like a good idea, some drivers must think these are electric space heaters in the buses.
