Has anyone had any buses running late because of the cold weather? My bus was over 20 minutes late today. I got a ride rather than wait in the freezing cold. I know it's very hard, but my driver COULD have had another bus go and get us, which she usually does. Not all of us are by our houses and are able to just go inside and wait (besides most drivers won't wait to look for us). A little concern for the kids would be nice when you are running late (sorry if I sound angry but it was an extremely frustrating beginning of the day).

Actually in our district everyone can ride the bus. And I feel bad for kids who might have to walk in other districts BUT thats their problem. And I'm just annoyed that nobody bothered to send in another bus to pick us up.

Well yeah, a lot of kids have to walk, but they're used to that. When a bus is running behind schedule, at the very least there should be some way to notify parents, so that kids don't have to wait outside in the cold. And when you're running late, I think it's fair to expect to have to wait and honk for kids who are waiting inside, if there's no warning whatsoever that the bus will be 20 minutes late.
