How long do your buses wait after dismissal time before departure? Our buses start pulling into the high/middle school bus loop at 2:00, the bell rings at 2:15 and then the buses leave at 2:25. Most districts in our area give 10 minutes also (of course for kids whose bus is at the end of the loop it can be a little later). It takes security awhile to clear the loop and dividing driveway of cars, but most of the buses are there by 2:15.

Our bell rings at 2:25, and at 2:30 the buses from the middle school start coming down to the high school and the high school buses go to the middle school.

This is our system.HS/MS Both dissmis at 2:45.Both loads pull into approprit schools at around 2:30.We have some drivers that cut it really close, and some are rgulary late, like the driver that teaches welding at a division of the HS and often getscaught up in traffic. The student dismiss at 2:45,and the buses pull out from each school at around 2:52.The elementary dismiss at 3:00.

Well, our "bell" rings at 2:26. yes, 2:26. It seems the buses leave 10-12 minutes after the students get out. I usually get to my locker around 2:28 and get out to the bus at 2:30. Then, I'm on the bus for about 5 minutes. The high school gets out at 2:35 and the elementary schools get out at 3:51 and 3:16.

5 minutes for the high and middle schools. There is some variation at the elementary schools but it is also supposed to be 5 minutes.

Same holds true for most schools around here. Buses don't wait past 5 minutes especially if they have another route, or two, or three, to do after the first one or two routes (which would be a high school and/or junior high school route). This helps in getting them on time to their next route without being too too late, unless other circumstances evolve while in route.

High School/7:30-2:10

I arrive at my high school at 1:45 and the high school let out at 2:10 and leave out from the school around 2:15. Come back for my second load and that take 5min

Elementary One/8:15-2:45

Arrive at my elementary one school around 2:50 since I'm on the second load they let out the students at 2:55 and I leave at 3:05

Elementary Two/8:50-3:20

Arrive at my elementary two school around 3:30 that is first load and they let out at 3:25 leave from there at 3:36

Middle School/9:00-3:50

Final arrive at my middle school at 4:15 again I'm secoud load and they let the students out for second load at 4:25 and leave at 4:33

The rules are that we should not wait no longer than 10 min, really they want us to wait aleat 5min... But that don't happen anyway!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention what they do at the elementarys. The teachers have them lined up in the halls under the students bus number. The bus pulls up and a teacher yells that number, the line boards the bus and they're off!!

Oh yeah, we got a used TC2000 on Tuesday.

For all regular school routes, we wait 10 minutes after the dismissal bell rings. For all special education routes, we wait 5 minutes after the dismissal bell rings.

our school is k-12, the elementary students are released at 3:10 high school 3:18 and we leave the grounds at 3:25. most of my riders are little, and ride the bus for close to a hour and fifteen minutes, then have to wait for 15 minutes to leave the grounds. I think that is a long time to wait. lmjurek
