Anyone repair their own rock chips in windshields? I just ordered two replacement windshields for my IC's and I am dreading the install. Lots of glass to wrestle around!!

Anyway the one I am replacing started out as a small chip near the center of the glass and ran to each outer edge. It could probly have been saved but my windshield/glass guy had just been here the day before the chip and wasnt scheduled to come back till the following month.

Who do you get your rock chip equiptment/supplies from?

Years ago you couldn't buy a kit if you were in someone elses area. That may have changed by now. I don't have any problem with what you are saying because my glass guy is only seven miles from me.

If you are replacing the windshield, it is a two man job. If you have a third it definetly helps.

Thanks!! I have already ordered two large glass suction cups to help carry the beast with.

Our Napa has an ok do it yourself windshield repair kit. I've done a few and so far so good. Time will tell. Erik
