Here is a PDF for those of you having turn signal problems on the older Visions. http://freepdfhost.com/form_page.php?id=2836

The multiplex will fail due a short circiut under the hood. Sometimes the multiplex will loose the output to the lamps. In any case this will get your signals working again. I am trying out a new PDF storage site, let me know if it works out.

I'm trying to understand...does this avoid repairing the short circuit or something? If you repaired the short circuit, would the multiplex be able to "communicate" with the turn signals again?

Yes in some cases it does reset it's self and you have no more problem after repairing the short. I have had to bypass a couple that didn't recover. More than likely caused by repeated failures.

I see, so the multiplexer was permanently messed up from the short. Thanks for explaining!

That is the beauty of a BB system, you don't have to spend big money to replace a multiplex unit, just wire arond it. That's my kind of engineering! They seem to be looking down the road and trying to make the total cost of ownership less. I personally hope that this kind of thinking will put BB out front. The problem they have now is getting the word out (advertising!).

Too bad auto manufacturers don't think this way.

Just had one of these come in. He called me on the radio stating that his signal on the right side was staying on solid. Didn't matter what he did. In fact it stayed on even when the ignition was off. I had forgotten about this post so I called my BB dealer when I couldn't find the problem. He directed me to this PDF on their site. When I brought it up I immediately remembered that I had printed it out.

One suggestion to anyone that is going to make this repair. Look for a flasher that will handle the load. I bought a 1-3 lamp flasher from NAPA. I noticed it before I installed it so I don't really know what will happen if you install a smaller one. Probably just flash fast.

I know this is an old thread, but anyone have this pdf anymore to fix the turn signal? Left turn won’t work for entire bus..
